Out of work computer technician Guy Goma, who shot to fame after he was mistakenly interviewed live on air as a technology expert, is set to be the subject of a Hollywood film about his unusual leap to stardom.
Mr Goma is believed to have signed a six-figure deal with a film producer who is working on a feature film inspired by the BBC gaffe which catapulted the Congolese man to overnight celebrity status.
Mr Goma became a household name and cult figure on the internet after a case of mistaken identity saw him interviewed live on air on BBC News 24 about a complicated technology lawsuit.
Mr Goma, who had gone to the BBC for a job interview, was plucked from the reception area and thrust in front of the cameras. When first introduced by BBC News 24 consumer affairs correspondent Karen Bowerman as an apparent expert,Mr Goma winced and tried to open his mouth as if to explain, but eventually muddled on playing the role less than convincingly.
